FURTHER EDUCATION PATHWAYS

Moving on

Our young people receive effective pastoral support from the non-teaching Key Stage 5 Achievement Leader, their Form Tutor and our Lay Chaplain.

All students follow the Preparation for Further Education and Enrichment course, which provides advice on time management for successful study, higher and further education courses, the university application process, interview techniques and employment opportunities. Guest speakers from universities, colleges and private enterprises inspire students to achieve, and the school actively encourages participation in open days and taster courses. External providers lead workshops for Year 12 students to help them develop their Post-16 study skills.

All year 12 students participate in mock interviews, many with business professionals, and receive feedback on their performance. Our sixth form staff also give students mock-interviews and practical, personalised advice to help them shape their future.
